LCISD
WEB based emergency opertions
plans
Visual
Imagry Inc. (VI) was awarded the contract
to provide the Lamar County Independent
School District (LCISD) with
a “turn-key”*
web-based comprehensive management system
to support the District’s Emergency
Operations Program and to enhance the
maintenance and development and annual
updates for each schools’ Emergency
Operations Plan (EOP).
As
of October 2010, thirty-two schools
EOPs and five of the District's Annex
plans are now easily accessible via
the web-based system. The Texas School
District can now easily store and
maintain all
EOPs,
Communications Plans, Pandemic Flu
plans as well as provide a roll up
view for authorized users from all
schools.
The
flexibility of VIPlanning© Software & Online
Services allows the LCISD to create
and maintain automated EOPs that align
exactly with the EOP Table of Contents
within the original hard-copy of the
EOP.
This web-based (HTML) solution supports
the required standards including the
Government Performance and Results
Act and the Texas Unified School Safety
Standards.
VI
created 32 web based Emergency Operations
Plans (EPOs) and 5 Annex
Plans were between February and October
2010. The EOPs totaled more than 3,500
web pages and more than 675 additional
web pages were developed for Annexes.
Lamar Junior High was selected as
the Model web-based EOP. The Model
EOP was designed to create the over-all
look and assure consistency in navigation-bar
outline for all schools. The goal was
to maintain the same information across
all schools EOPs. Also a Master web-based
Plan was created at the District level,
thus allowing linking to data across
all 32 school EOP plans.
