As
the Director of Facility Operations,
Jim Ongman touched many lives and
made a profound difference for school
emergency preparedness efforts throughout
American and the World.
Jim's
craftsmanship contributed to VIPlanning® Software & Online
Services and he touched many lives. Jim
so enjoyed his work contributing
to the development of disaster preparedness
software over the last few years.
He hoped his efforts improved emergency preparedness, especially for the children.
We
are
honored to post some of the messages we received after Jim's
passing.
Jim's work
seemed to be more about a passion than
a job
”It
is with a heavy heart that I collect
these wonderful thoughts and memories
of Jim. I had the pleasure of meeting
Jim through his work with Visual Imagry.
Right off the bat, I knew that he was
a man who knew his stuff. I was instantly
comfortable with him as his possessed
such a warm and easy going disposition.
He was a joy to work with and to talk
to.
To
me, his work seemed to be more about
a passion than a job. He cared about
the product that he made for our
schools and students. He knew that
it was his responsibility to insure
that all of the information he developed
was accurate and useful, as lives
of children depend on it.
I
know Jim is in a place now where
he is proud of his efforts while
he was with us. When we leave this
place, we all should desire to have
made a difference in the lives of
people in the world. There is no
greater contribution in my eyes than
to make that special contribution
to children and make a difference
in their lives. For it is those lives
who will carry on the good that we
have in this world. Jim gave this
gift to us, and for that, we are
grateful.
